Late December to early January

 Canada so far...

The journey

It was quite a long journey, five hours to Manila, then a layover for four and finally 15 hours to Toronto.

One of my first daytime photos in Toronto.

This weird thin building in Toronto.

A famous ice rink in downtown Toronto, this is just before the announcer let everyone get back onto the ice. There was a guy driving a Zamboni and finishing up when I took this photo.

Street art of a local politician who is infamous in Toronto, he was known for his drug use while in office.

Central Station in Toronto, from here there are many busses and trains that take you all over, for example there's a train you can take to New York or Detroit, or a bus if you're on a budget.

This is the work of beavers, unfortunately I was not able to witness this fine crafter as they work, but I was able to appreciate their work, the next time I'm in Toronto this trunk has been worn down and added to a dam. One can hope.

This is black squirrel in London, Ontario. The city I am living in. They're very cute and inquisitive.

What a typical walk looks like in the winter, note to self, purchase or bring waterproof shoes to country that experiences snow.

This is a very old government building, I had to visit it because I needed to apply for a SIN number, I need it it to be able to apply for jobs and recieve health benefits. Canada offers free health care, even to temporary visa holders which is a bonus.

Posing with my 1 dollar, 7-11 coffee, good coffee is hard to find in this city, but the drip coffee is not bad. The building in the background is a faculty building from Western University, I only live 20 minutes from it. I've been told the art department run workshops that are open to all community members, it will be cool to check out once they start again.

Just an interesting juxtaposition of mural and snow on one of my walks.

Overall, the flight was long and tiring, it didn't help that I was recovering from being sick and felt deaf in one of my ears after they popped the entire time I was in flights.

Philippine airlines are one of the best airlines I've ever flown on, the workers on the plane were amazing, the food was really good and even the passengers were nice.
